Jade & Zac's Fairy Tale Wedding Part 2 of 2

Part 2 of 2

On to the reception! You can see Part 1 of this series here. After we had all cried our eyes out, had been surprised by a horse-drawn carriage that brought the bride and her dad to the wedding aisle, it was time to relax, unwind and let loose. Guests made great use of the on-site cotton candy machine, Polaroid cameras as well as a variety of adult and non-alcoholic beverages.

You can see a few wedding party pictures are below. Please keep in mind that these pictures were taken by me or other guests at the wedding. THESE ARE NOT THE PROFESSIONAL PICTURES. Professional pictures were taken by Heather Lauren Photography. I will share those pictures on the blog when they are available.

After pictures were finished, the wedding party and the bride and groom joined the reception.

Guests found assigned tables by locating his/her name on the mirror below. Please forgive the odd angle and not being able to fully read the words (my iPhone can only do so much!) :)

The mirror says "Welcome to Our Forever".  Under each table number, a list of guests were written in in a gorgeous, light green.

Each reception table seated six guests and was assigned a number as well as a Disney character.

Each woman who attended the reception had a decorated (and extremely useful) lace fan to help keep the vapors away. There were large electric fans on either side of the tent as well
that helped with keeping guests cool.

Each guest was also given a small, personalized keep sake to remember the day. Inside the small jar is local sand, a baby turtle coming out of it's shell/nest, sea shells, etc. The reason for the amber lighting in the tent is to help the nesting sea turtles stay on their path to the ocean when they hatch. Baby sea turtles hatch at night and find their way to the ocean so bright lights can't be used during evening activities and events along the shoreline.  Both conservation and preservation are at the forefront for Siesta Key and surrounding beaches.

When guests discovered that tables had a Disney character "assigned" it was another sweet surprise. Everyone wanted to know which table had which character and started to mingle with other guests again. :)

Without question, the bride and groom's table had the Disney characters Minnie and Mickey!

Here is a short video showing the reception as guests are eating and mingling.

How about this cake? I loved it so much! The fondant had a pearl sheen and every layer seemed to sparkle and shine.

This crazy guy is the groom's dad, Ray. Ray and I went to school together I could have never imagined all these years ago that our lives would be intertwined in such a sweet way. Jade and Zac
 are wonderful kids.

Here are a few videos of the first dance and the father/daughter dance. "At Last" by Etta James was played during the first dance and "She's Got a Way" by Billy Joel was played during the father/daughter dance. Again, tears streamed down my face.
