Fall is in the Air... Sort of..

The calendar doesn't say that it's fall and the temperature outside is still in the 90's every day. Labor Day isn't here yet (which means putting away those white pants, shorts, skirts and anything seersucker). But deep down, my heart is giddy knowing what is right around the corner; fall!

This past weekend, I visited Michael's to browse and see what I could see. There's two large shopping centers within 10 minutes of our house which is really convenient for me (not so much for my husband).

Fall is the beginning of my favorite time of year; SEC football, cooler temps, holidays, family get-togethers, scarves, boots, bonfires, the whole nine. Although I have tons of decorations and supplies for all of these events and happenings, I always look to build on my collection. Although the calendar isn't in a "ber" month just yet, I can't help but plan ahead. Take a look as some of the pretties I found this weekend.

I get so many ideas looking at all of this fall stuff!

This big, beautiful wreath would look darling on my glossy, freshly painted, black front door...

Okay, Michael's. You win. I'll take the brown gobble chargers on the left.

There are so many possibilities here! The things I could make: wreaths, garlands, center pieces, etc.

I love these pumpkins. So many ideas and options.

I can see using battery-operated candles to create ambiance in the house or on the porch next to other fall decorations. I can also see creating a still life/vignette to sit on our dining table or in the corner of our breakfast bar.

I'm pretty traditional with my decor but I really like these alternative fall colors.

What do you think about mixing these alternative fall colors into your traditional decor?

A lot of people don't like to do scary for Halloween but I do! Halloween is an exciting holiday for us because it's my birthday. I like to dress up, decorate and give out candy. I saw a lot of neat things that I would like to add to my collection.

That buzzard is fantastic. I need a set of those guys to add a creepy feeling to our porch.

Love this stack of witches spell books.

The following pictures have nothing to do with fall decorating but the items are perfect for those shabby chic/french country girls. So many pretty things and 40% off to boot.

I'm looking forward to your own fall decorations flooding my social media time lines. Let the fall flags fly!

With warmth and love,
