Event Planning on a Budget- Free Resources and Printables

Hey Y'all!

Keeping with the theme of planning events, today I will share tons of free resources to help you with planning a baby shower. This time of year is jam-packed with wedding, bridal and baby showers not to mention graduation parties and of course weddings!

Let's get down to the nuts and bolts of planning a baby shower. I love this chart and timeline.

Access the full PDF document by visiting Big Dot of Happiness.

Tips and tricks to help you get and KEEP control of the planning process:

1. Make/print your own invitations. You also have the option of using Evite.com or PaperlessPost.com to send electronic invitations.
2. Skip the caterer! Cook the food yourself or recruit "co-hosts" for the shower to help with the food.
3. Get creative and make the decorations. Links are below, friends!
4. Don't pay for an event space!   Many churches, clubhouses, country clubs and synagogues will let you use event space for free if you (or one of your co-hosts) are members. If you have a friend or a family member with a large home that is great for entertaining, ask if you could borrow their living room and kitchen for an afternoon.
5. Pick a theme or color scheme. Picking a theme/color helps you to focus your efforts and really pay attention to the details of the event.
6. Don't spend a fortune on favors.  Something as simple as a bookmark from Pretty Providence that can be downloaded here is perfect.  I also love this "Ready to Pop" free printable set from SavvyStyle.net
